Part Time Barton BIA Marketing & Events Coordinator
The Role:
As our Part Time Marketing and Events Coordinator, you'll play a crucial role in enhancing our communication efforts and driving engagement with our member businesses and the wider community. You'll also take the lead in organizing and promoting our exciting events. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your creativity, strategic thinking, and passion for local economic development.
This is a 1 year contract position to cover a parental leave.
Key Responsibilities:

Implement our developed marketing strategies.

Create engaging content for various platforms (social media, blog, newsletters, etc.).

Manage email marketing campaigns using Mailchimp.

Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of BIA events (e.g., Barton Village Festival, our AGM and various Fundraisers).

Collaborate with local businesses to create promotional materials.

Track and analyze marketing and event metrics to optimize campaigns and improve future events.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a related field is preferred but not required.

2+ years of experience in marketing and event coordination, preferably in a non-profit or community-focused organization.

Proficiency in social media management and email marketing tools.

Strong writing and content creation skills.

Experience with event planning, promotion, and execution.

Familiarity with Google Workspace (Calendar, Mail, Drive), WIX and Social media channels including Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.

What we’re offering:

This 1 year contract part time position will be compensated an hourly rate of $19/hour for 20 hours per week.
