The 541 is a ​not-for-profit, for-community-benefit business that provides good, homemade food at prices everyone can afford. We rely on many volunteers and a core of staff to provide a welcome to everyone. At various times we have movie nights, homemade club, shared music evenings, and more. We also have a small garden that provides vegetables and fruits for neighbourhood students.

Located next to the Hamilton General Hospital, the House will provide affordable and accessible accommodation, hope and healing in a comfortable home-like environment.
